Bag Style

Our custom filter bags are typically ordered in one of the following styles:

• Cylinder
• Halo w/ cone-shaped hollow center
• Halo w/ tube-shaped hollow center

However, we've also made bags for a variety of applications that don't involve centrifuge extractors or even biomass - we've even made square bags for groundwater filtration! Just let us know what you need. 

Halo Dimensions

If you are ordering a halo style bag, please make sure to specify the dimensions for the hollow center. For example, some common halo dimensions are: 

• TUBE - 4" diameter
• CONE - 18" bottom diameter, 5.25 top diameter
• CONE - 11" bottom diameter, 4" top diameter

However, you can customize the halo dimensions to whatever you need.

Bag Size

We can make bags that are  anywhere from 10" to 50" in diameter and 10” to 50” in height. As a reminder, the CUP30 (19” d x 15” h) and CUP15 (13” d x 13” h ) sizes are designed to fit Delta Separations centrifuges and replace the OEM bags.

Micron Rating

We can make filter bags in any of the following micron (μm) ratings: 0.5 to 2 μm, 5 to 10 μm, 10 μm, 25 μm, 37 μm, 45 μm, 55 μm, 73 μm, 90 μm, 100 μm, 120 μm, 140 μm, 160 μm, 190 μm, 220 μm, 250 μm, 300 μm.

All micron ratings are subject to small manufacturing margins of error. These are typically immaterial, but more relevant in the smaller sizes (which is why we list our two smallest micron materials as ranges). 

As a reminder, the 73 μm is comparable with the Delta Separations Centrifuge Utility Platform (CUP) OEM bags.

Durability

Our bags are built for durability with polypropylene reinforcement straps, double-stitched seams, velcro latch, and support handle. Depending on bag size, we often increase the size of the polypropelyne straps to a thicker 3.5” width.

We can also improve stitching as needed alongside double-seamed fabric. Ideal for bags larger than 18” in diameter.

Materials

Our standard bags are polyester mesh with polypropylene straps. We can also offer bags in a twill material and can explore other materials as needed.

Returns & Shipping

Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing, planning, fabrication, and shipping. All bag sales are final, but we are able to make smaller sample batches to ensure the bag suits your needs.
